Laser hair removal is a procedure designed to reduce unwanted hair on numerous areas of the body. This treatment uses concentrated light beams to target hair follicles directly. The laser’s light is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair, where it converts into heat that damages the follicle responsible for growth. This process helps prevent or delay future hair growth.
Common treatment areas include the face, legs, arms, underarms, and bikini line. It can be a good fit for many adults with dark hair who want a longer-term solution to unwanted hair. Results typically become noticeable after a few sessions, with fuller reduction over a complete series. Longevity varies by individual, but many patients see significantly reduced hair growth over time, with some areas showing little to no regrowth.
At VIBE Aesthetics and Wellness, our experienced providers use medical-grade laser technology (incorporating targeted diode and Nd:YAG wavelengths) to help disable hair follicles at the root.
Covers either the upper or lower leg for a more targeted treatment option.
Full-arm treatment to help reduce unwanted hair without the irritation of regular shaving.
A full series for lasting results along the bikini line, with savings over paying per session.
Good candidates have dark pigment in the hair shaft. Laser energy generally isn’t effective on white, gray, red, or light blonde hair because these colors lack enough melanin for the laser to target. Treatment is not recommended over active skin infections or open wounds, or during pregnancy.
You may start to notice results after the first few sessions, with fuller results typically visible after completing a full treatment series.
Many patients experience long-lasting hair reduction, though they may need occasional maintenance sessions over time.
Downtime is minimal. Side effects are typically mild and temporary and may include brief discomfort, swelling, or redness.
Stay out of direct sun, avoid tanning beds, and skip self-tanning products for at least 4 weeks leading up to your treatment. Shave the treatment area cleanly 12 to 24 hours before your session. Do not wax, pluck, or use depilatory creams for 4 weeks prior, as the hair root must remain intact.
Depending on the area being treated, you may feel a quick, slight pinching sensation. Sessions can last anywhere from a few minutes to about an hour depending on the size of the area.
Less time shaving means more time doing everything else Tupelo has to offer. Let’s build a treatment plan around the areas that matter most to you, so hair removal becomes one less thing on your to-do list.
